Running obbies either scroll forward on their own or reward speed with points and upgrades. Several use a +1 speed mechanic, where every step or second makes you faster. That sounds like pure gain, but top speed makes narrow platforms much harder to land on.
Keep your eyes a little ahead of your character so you see traps before you reach them. When a game lets you spend coins between runs, speed and stamina upgrades usually pay off first.
